-The Procedures-

At the beginning, I opened a file with the size of 2480 x 3508 with the resolution of 72.

A new layer which is renamed as 'background' is made and put within a folder called 'Backgrounds'.

The background layer is filled with yellow colour and a picture of a texture is inserted into the same folder as the layer. The fill of the texture layer is lowered down and its mode is changed to linear light.

The original picture of the texture which is downloaded from mayang.com

Then, I put some wordings 'sweets. sour. salty. spicy.' under the texture layer and its fill is also lowered down. This text layer is rasterized.

The following is the picture of the 'Background' folder.

New folder named as Graphics is created and a new layer containing an oval yellow ring is put into it. The ring is made with ellipse tool. Then, its layer mode is changed to 'Multiply'.

Same procedure is applied on the other rings except their layer modes remained 'Normal'.

Next, a pair of black rectangles are made. One of it is put at the upper part of the picture while the other is put at the lower part. The rectangles are made to make the poster looks a little dramatic.

Another new folder named as 'Pictures' is made and a couple of pictures of Malaysian food is put into it. These pictures had undergone a process of vectorization in Adobe Illustrator by using a tool called Livetrace. The pictures are then transferred to Photoshop. At first, the layers is labelled as 'Vector Smart Object' and the pictures cannot be edited while they are in that form. To enable the editing process on the pictures, I rasterized and merged the layers into one which is renamed as Malaysian Foods. Afterwards, the pictures are arranged vertically and made its position little bit slanted.

The previously mentioned layer is copied and the picture is put at the other side of the file.

Now that the pictures part is completed, here is the picture of the folder named as 'Pictures'.

A new layer renamed as 'Black lines' is made and put into 'Graphics' folder. 2 black lines is created and placed at the outline of the pictures.

'Graphics' folder is now completed. Here is the picture of it.

Lastly, a folder named as 'Type' is made. The typography, which is made in Adobe Illustrator, is tranferred into Photoshop and later rasterized. A layer style is inserted into the layer which is renamed as 'Type'.

The picture of the 'Type' folder.
